The COVID-19 pandemic has brought its untold hardships especially to the vulnerable groups like women and children who may find it difficult to procure items to protect themselves from the disease. Members of the Queen Mothers Platform, being in touch with the local people have observed this and other challenges relating to the management strategies by the government. As a result, the QMP,  as one of its strategies to complement the government efforts indicated that, distribution of items will be done in the various regions to assist the vulnerable ones with relieve items to protect themselves from the pandemic.

The QMP executives, after engagement with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, confirmed they will be provided with relief items for the various regions. The Upper West Regional President, Halakuoru Dr Hajaratu Limann I, has received the items from the Ministry of Local Government intended to be distributed to the vulnerable ones in the region.
