ENERGY TRANSITION STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT FOR THE QUEEN MOTHERS
The members of the Queen Mothers Platform were invited to participate in the stakeholder engagement meeting on Energy Transition. The venue was at the National House of Chief, Manhyia, Kumasi.
At the Meeting, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister explained what Energy Transition is to the distinguished Queen Mothers. He indicated to them that it is imperative that the National Energy Transition Committee solicited the views of key stakeholders to shape the implementation of this all-important plan for the country. He again indicated that the National Energy Transition Plan has an effect not only on the energy sector but also on the everyday life of the people of Ghana hence the need to involve all other stakeholders.
The Queen mothers used the opportunity to understand the work of the Ministry to build their capacity on national policies on energy. The members were also grateful to the Ministry for the recognition of the QMP as an important stakeholder in the policy space.
